EXO's Kai Enlists on May 11th

SM Entertainment released a surprising news on the afternoon of May 3rd, 2023. 

EXO's Kai will be fulfilling his military duties to the the country on May 11th. According to SM Entertainment, Kai was preparing for EXO's comeback that has been scheduled for this year, but due to the recent changes in the military regulations, he will be entering the training center next week for the basic military training and then serve as a social service worker. 

They continued that they respect Kai's intention to quietly enter the training center on that day, so the location nor time of his entry will not be disclosed. 

Kai, with birth name Kim Jong-in, was born on January 14, 1994. During his birthday celebration with EXO-Ls, he already mentioned that he will probably be enlisting this year since he will be turning thirty next year, and looks like they received his enlistment notice earlier than expected.

Just a month ago, Kai released his third EP, Rover and won awards. It was a successful comeback to temporary leave with the fans while waiting for his return.
