[SVT World Tour Be The Sun] My Ticket Pre Selling / Selling Experience

On June 15, 2022, Live Nation Philippines announced that Seventeen World Tour: Be The Sun is coming to Manila.
It's been a while since PH Carats (Seventeen Fandom name) has seen the group.  Their last visit was back in February 2020 so naturally, Carats are on the lookout for the best possible deal to see their idols.  Live Nation PH announced that they will be honoring fan memberships and pre selling perks to those who sign up for an account in their website.

A lot - AND I SAY A LOT - of Carats bought the membership at the last minute to take advantage of the pre-sale date posted by the production. Those who were not able to secure a ticket tried their luck again at the Live Nation PH members pre selling. The third day was the selling for the general public and those who weren't able to purchase tickets during the pre sale either logged in early or camped out in ticket outlets to get the best seat possible.

Last July 14, 2022, is another experience of ticket selling camping out for me.  I accompanied a friend who's been trying to buy tickets online for two days (member exclusive presale and LNPH pre-selling online), but luck was not on her side.

For the camp out, my friend decided to line up at Eastwood Mall since they're one of the few malls that accepts credit cards and she had her cousin camp out at SM Marikina.  I arrived at Eastwood Mall at around 12 midnight and what welcomed me were Carats sitting and lying on the floor patiently waiting despite the stress and frustration on having to camp when they could've purchased online (most of them bought the fan club membership and signed up for the LNPH membership too

An unofficial queue was organized by the fanbase admins and Carats in line all agreed and cooperated.  Eventually, the mall security provided chairs for those in line --- a far cry from my experience during the B.I OFFLINE  fan meet ticket pre selling.

The admins were very hands-on in keeping the line intact and they came prepared.  They organized games to get free photo cards and what not.  Some were sharing their stories about how they became a fan of the 13-piece boy group and exchanging their favorite videos until sunrise --- I almost had a bias overnight listening to all their stories!

Just a few minutes before 10:00 AM, everyone prepared for the mall to open, hoping they will be able to purchase either at the concierge or online. When the line started moving, the PWDs went first followed by the original queue. Although it took awhile for the line to move and there were few conflicts between the concierge and the fans, the line eventually moved.  Sometime after the ticket selling started, my friend got a message from her cousin that she was already able to secure VIP Standing tickets at SM Marikina, her queue number being #3.  My friend eventually decided to leave the eastwood line, but we still kept our queue number online in case a VIP Soundcheck ticket opens --- but it never did.

In ticket selling days, Live Nation PH was embroiled in A LOT of issues.  They even released a statement when news broke out that underground selling was happening which of course enraged the fans.

Twitter was wild for almost a week! The production outfit was called out by fans all over the country before and after the ticket selling dates.  Fans were even more enraged when the hashtag #SMTicketsTulongNamanDiyan started.

Fans on twitter expressed that they were not happy with the way the ticket selling turned out.

While I personally did not purchase a ticket, I could feel the stress and frustration when I accompanied my friend to camp out.  Even those who camped out weren't all able to secure a ticket and those online (me and Lexi personally queued online for our friend) were in the online queue for 7 hours only to be welcomed with unavailable selections.  At 4:17pm, Live Nation PH officially announced that tickets were sold out.

I've been to a few ticket selling camp outs and I would have to say that while those were pretty intense with stampede, sigawan and all --- this ticket selling experience has got to be one of the most mentally exhausting.  I could feel the frustration of everyone -- from those I spoke to in line or those who shared their thoughts on twitter.

If I'm to give my two cents about this --- I will never know what has transpired between the organizers and ticket supplier --- but if there is one thing that PH K-stans are used to --- it's transparency and constant updates.  Twitter is a very powerful tool for k-stans and I'm sure fans would've appreciated if there were constant updates and assistance all throughout the ticketing days.

How was your SVT World Tour Be The Sun ticketing experience? I really hope Carats were able to secure their tickets.

PS. BE WARY OF SCAMMERS BECAUSE I'VE SEEN A FEW
